I started at Behr Construction in 2001 after working for another General Contractor in the San Gabriel Valley. I grew up in San Marino and currently live in Agua Dulce with my wife and 10-year-old daughter. We love the open space of Agua Dulce and raising horses, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. On my free time I love to ski in Montana with my son and visit the outdoors, the beach or mountains; snow or sun!!! I am a University of Oregon Alumni and love to follow and watch all their athletic programs GO DUCKS! While operating as a project manager at Behr Construction I am also responsible for the general management of the office and employees. It has been a true pleasure working here for the past 22 years with all my amazing employees and partners!!
John Mills

I am a building contractor who has been with Behr Construction since the year 2000. Prior to that, I worked independently throughout Southern California since 1980. I was raised in Malibu and currently live in Santa Monica with my wife and son. We enjoy traveling, ocean activities, and good food! I take pride in working for Behr Construction because of our reputation for quality. All of our employees take pride in their work and make my job easier. I feel that the family oriented atmosphere on the jobsite helps to promote teamwork. As for myself…I strive to cause as little disruption to the homeowners as possible while keeping within our timeline and budget.

I have been working at Behr since 1986 and am now one of the owners. My wife Darlene and I have 3 teenage kids, Olivia, Sean and Grace. As a family we enjoy learning new things and going to interesting and fun places! Our whole family is L.A. Kings hockey fans and we enjoy going to as many games as we can. Here are Behr, I think we work hard to build long time relationships with our clients. I have always liked how Behr Construction has been a family oriented company and worked together to help each other. We have a great group of employees and when put together, make an outstanding team!
Sandy Tucker

I have been with Behr Construction since 1993 when I came here to work part time while I was finishing my Bachelor’s Degree. Well, I loved working here so much and the people involved that I am still here! I have three children, 30, 22 and 17 and love spending time with them and with my husband of 25 years. We love to go to the beach and to theme parks and I also love to scrapbook in my free time. I am so glad I have been able to be a part of such a great company for so many years! Behr Construction is such an incredible company to work for and I really enjoy the camaraderie and the family like atmosphere among all the staff. All of the employees and owners have a true dedication to making this company successful and in turn providing a superior product to our customers. I have a very close working relationship with one of the owners, Kurt Knechtel, and am thankful he is able to facilitate the company running like a well-oiled machine. He also understands how important family is, and as a mother it is so important for me to be able to be there for a lot of the milestones in my children’s lives, he understands that and encourages us to be there for our kids. I look forward to another 20 years with Behr Construction!

I started in the grocery business and worked for the Ralphs company for 30 years and retired there as a Construction Specialist. I came to Behr Construction in 2005 and have enjoyed my role as a project manager and love the interaction with all the wonderful clients we have had. I have a wonderful wife and son that I enjoy spending time with, traveling and vintage cars. It has been a wonderful experience working with Behr Construction and I look forward to meeting and working with new clients to come.”

I was born and raised in the Southern California area and have always been interested in things that are mechanical, how they work and how I can make them work better. I landed in the construction industry very early ending up specializing in residential remodeling and I have been doing it for almost 45 years. I have always been very active and love spending time at the beach, water sports, camping and 4-wheeling. I have been with Behr Construction for over 20 years, starting off in project management and now in the estimating department. Behr Constructions dedication to quality of the work and customer service makes it a real cut above other companies in the same industry. I am proud to be associated with a company like Behr and see myself here for many years.
Humberto Haro
I am married with two kids, my oldest is 24 and works for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant and my youngest is 20 and works for R.D.J Brother as a construction worker. On my free time I like to be with my family.

Arturo Haro
I was born and raised in a small farm near Guadalajara Mexico and grew up as a farm worker. I have been married for 25 years and throughout those years I have had the biggest opportunity to raise two sons, now 25 and 22, and a beautifu daughter, now 7. I like to spend my free time with the family, going on road trips as well as spending community service time at church.
I have been working at Behr for 22 years now, I walked in as a waterproof specialist and throughout the years I have managed to achieve many skills. One of the biggest achievements I have made is winning the trust of both my co-workers and my bosses in giving me the opportunity of being a manager. A great quality that we have as a company is that we all work as a team, if a problem comes up there is always someone else there to help.

I started here at Behr Construction back in 2007 and left to pursue other things but have returned here in 2018 and am so excited to be back! Love the family like atmosphere with co-workers and our clients are amazing!
Mario Ramos
I am Mario and I love my job as a finish carpenter and window and door installer! I have 20 years’ experience and have worked for 3 different companies. In my free time, I like to play soccer and ride bikes. I am now working for Behr Construction and I am happy to work with them. Each of my co workers are respectful, very hard working and very clean on the jobsite every day. I especially have very good managers and the best bosses!
Jose Venancio
Hello my name is Jose but you can call me by my last name Venancio! I love cooking with chipotle peppers and creating my very own signature dishes. I often take families to their first time ever camping. I enjoy the thrill of trying new things. I love working here at Behr Construction because it has given me the opportunity to start a house project and follow it to the end. I enjoy every step from demolition to final clean up. It is a pride to see the work that we have accomplished and I believe with every job, we as a team get better and better. Combining our talents to get the job done right, making memorable moments, learning new techniques and having fun!
Morgan Knechtel
Hi I am Morgan and I have been working for Behr for a little less than a year. Behr is a great place to work, our entire team is like a family. I appreciate how much pride and energy everyone puts into any and all of our work. There is never a slow day, yet everyone shows up with a great attitude and great energy. In my free time, I love to go to music festivals, play Warhammer 40K, skiing at Mammoth, playing video games, and eating good food! I was a bartender for most of my career and recently moved to construction. I have learned a lot from all of the guys and continue to learn every day!
